As we celebrate 17 years of operation, Global Dairy Trade (GDT) is proud to reflect on our growth and success. We have completed over 370 Trading Events, with US$ 2-3 billion traded annually and over 600,000 metric tons of product cleared each year.
GDT’s strategic vision remains focused on being the world’s leading price discovery platform for core dairy products while supporting efficient dairy derivative trading. To achieve this, we are committed to increasing market liquidity, expanding global supply, and improving the agility and efficiency of our services. With the support of our co-owners, European Energy Exchange AG (EEX), Fonterra, and NZX Limited, we are well-positioned to meet these goals while maintaining our independence.
In line with our strategic direction, GDT will be bringing the Trading Manager role for GDT Events in-house. Currently managed by CRA International (CRA), this role is responsible for running Trading Events on the GDT Events Auction Website. This move will enhance our control over platform development and service delivery, allowing us to improve the experience for bidders and sellers.
The transition will occur on 1 June, and we do not anticipate any disruption to our Trading Events or other services. This positive step will help us deliver even better and more responsive services.
